Where the shoes come from
We work with verified suppliers, and every pair is checked in-store before it is listed. If a pair does not pass our checks, it does not go on the site.
What we check on arrival
Every pair is opened and inspected before it goes on the site. These are the same checks you can do yourself when a pair arrives — from us or from anyone:
The SKU matches in three places
The style code on the box label, on the tongue tag inside the shoe, and on the size sticker should be identical. Fakes very often get two of the three right and the third wrong, because the box and the shoe come from different places.
The box label is printed, not stuck on crooked
Real labels are square to the box, sharply printed, and the barcode scans. Blurred small text, a label that peels at the corner, or a size that does not match the shoe inside are all bad signs.
Stitching is even and the glue is clean
Look along the sole join and around the toe. Factory stitching runs even, with no skipped or doubled-back runs, and there is no glue squeezed out past the edge of the sole.
The shape is right
This is the one that needs a real pair beside it, and it is why we handle everything. Fakes are usually close but slightly wrong — a toe box a little too round, a swoosh a little too thick, a heel that sits at the wrong angle.
It smells like a shoe
A strong chemical smell out of the box is worth paying attention to. A well-made pair should not hit you with it the moment you open the lid.
If you have doubts
If something about a pair you bought from us does not look right, bring it to the shop with the box. We will go through it with you, and if we cannot stand behind it, we will refund you.
